Science Along with Expertise

Yazd Javad-al-Aemeh (A.S.) Institute of Applied Sciences and technology is one of the educational institutions under Javad-al-Aemeh (AS) Cultural Charity Institute. This center is an institution inspired by Islamic teachings that uses human experiences and scientific achievements based on analyses of religious, educational, cultural and social needs, necessities and gaps. It was established in 1999, through the relentless efforts of faithful and committed people who had prolonged experience in religious, cultural, training, educational, and executive fields and had serious concern and compassion for the aforementioned issues, especially in relation to the teenagers and the young.  The initial capital was donated by the Supreme Leader and the Superintendent of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

And thanks to the grace of Allah, The Absolute Truth, and the trust and companionship of the benefactors and families, as well as the thoughtfulness and efforts of the teachers and officials of the institution, along with the commendable perseverance of the students, this center managed to gain a privileged position among families.

The property of this institution does not belong to any particular person or group, and the profits from its activities are merely spent on the development of the center and its cultural and educational affairs, and in case of liquidation, according to the statute, all its properties will be at the disposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists (Vali-ye Faqih).

Since May 1993, the activity of Javad-al-Aemeh (AS) Applied Sciences and Technology Higher Education Institution, which is the first non-governmental institution in the field of higher education activities in Yazd province, started functioning by admission of students in two fields of Travel and Tourism Services and English Language Teaching, and now it admits applicants in 13 fields including: Cultural Affairs, Holy Quran Teacher Training, Holy Quran Missionary Training, Hotel Management, Translation of Official Documents, Tape and Film Translation, Tourism Services, Computer Software, English Language Learning, Computer Hardware, System Software, Computer Hardware Repairs, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in modular associate degree programs.

In February, 1998, semester-based courses started with two Associate-to-Bachelor degrees (Discontinuous Bachelor) in Software Technology Engineering and Computer Hardware Systems Technology Engineering and three Associate degrees in Information Technology, Tourism Services, and English language Translation, and now there are 6 Associate degree programs in Information and Communication Technology, Tourism Services, English Translation,  Holy Quran Teacher Training, Holy Quran Missionary Training, and Cultural Affairs. Students are also studying three Associate-to-Bachelor degrees (Discontinuous Bachelor) in Tourism Management, Software Engineering, and Hardware Engineering.

We believe that by integrating science with expertise and practice, we can solve many of the country's problems, including unemployment. Achieving economic development is only possible with the training of human resources with scientific and practical experiences. And actualizing that is possible only with an applied scientific education system. Paying sufficient attention to education integrated with skill training can increase production, productivity, and technology, and in one word, can bring real progress reaching the sublime and true status of Islamic Iran in the world.
