Cultural richness has prevented Iran from disintegration throughout history.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Cultural Charity Institute of Hazrat Javadalaameh (AS) in Yazd, quoted by IRNA, Mahmoud Jafari Dehaghy, on the occasion of the launch of the Iranology Association office in a meeting with scholars of Yazd province at the Javadalaameh Institute, congratulated the launch of the branch of this association in Yazd and stated: Iranian literature and culture are a valuable treasure that we are the heirs of, and this culture is still shining among the nations of the world.
He also added: Yazd province has valuable scientific figures in the field of Iranology who can be active in various fields of this field, and the establishment of an Iranology center in this province provides a suitable platform for the gathering of Iranian friends.
A member of the faculty of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities of the University of Tehran also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Javadalaameh Institute and Imam Javad University of Yazd, which have taken steps to establish an Iranology center in this province, and said: So far, Iranology has been established in 11 universities in the country, and 2 of the most successful universities in this field are in Yazd province.
"Ali Shahidi" continued: "The field of Iranology is vacant in scientific and university centers of historical cities such as Isfahan and Tabriz, while identity problems in areas where such a field does not exist are more than in other regions of the country."
Expressing his satisfaction with the action of Imam Javad University of Yazd, as the third university in the province and the twelfth university in the country, to launch the field of Iranology, he stated: "Our concern is what is going to happen in this university in the field of Iranology that has not happened in other universities, so special missions must be defined for it."
"Seyed Ahmad Mohit Tabatabaei", the head of the National Committee of Museums of Iran, also stated in this meeting that Iranology goes beyond identifying a specific culture or language, and said: "Iran is a comprehensive cultural concept and Iran's cultural sovereignty caused Persian to be the second language of the entire region during Marco Polo's journey, and he had a Persian-speaking translator with him."
The Iranology lecturer at Meybod University also said: Standing up for Iran today comes at a cost. This heritage requires collective salvation and is part of the world heritage created by our ancestors. Today, Iran is pregnant with changes that if we fail, we will not be remembered well tomorrow.
The retired professor at Allameh Tabatabaei University and a lasting figure in the country in the field of literature and mysticism in 2002 also said: The heavy burden of Iranianness has been mostly on the shoulders of the working groups who have always been unloved, and all the honest people who worked for Iranian culture in this country have left their mark.
"Asghar Dadbeh" added: Today, some influential people have managed to use their power to keep Persian from the entrance exam, so that our children are completely alien to Persian.
Gholamali Sefid, head of the Javad Al-Aemmeh Charity Organization in Yazd, also said at the meeting: This complex is currently active in the field of educational and cultural activities with 9 departments from kindergarten to university as one of the largest educational infrastructures in Yazd province.
Dr. Dariush Poursarajian, the president of Imam Javad University of Yazd, also said: Efforts are being made to recruit undergraduate students for the field of Iranology at this university in October of next year.
About 5,500 students and 2,600 students are studying in the educational centers of the Imam Javad University of Yazd.
Dr. Saman Ghasemi Firouzabadi added: Fundamental changes are not going to occur in the field of Iranology from the center, but from the margins where the dominant discourse is weaker, it is possible for lasting work to be done in this field, and Yazd can shoulder a significant burden of Iranology.
